**** NEW MATCH SHEETS - MUST BE USED FROM WEEKEND OF 26/27 MAY ****
The association has issued new match sheets which must be used from now on. All previous match sheets are to be disregarded. Download a copy of the new sheet here.
**** IMPORTANT NOTICE ****
Football NSW has been receiving a number of calls and emails about abusive behaviour by coaches. As a consequence all clubs in every association have been asked to inform and remind all coaches, players and fans of the following;
-
Clubs have a responsibility to ensure all children involved in the sport are being treated with respect, equality and understanding.
-
Coaches are NOT permitted to ABUSE OR BULLY CHILDREN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES !!
-
Complaints about coach behaviour towards children are to be treated as serious and appropriate action is to be taken !!!!!
-
Club and coach focus should be on children enjoying the game, making friends and learning about football.
-
The focus of Rooball is NOT TO WIN but TO ENJOY !!!!
Football NSW will not tolerate this type of behaviour by any coach or other persons within the sport and it is expected that clubs and associations will take whatever action is necessary to ensure that this behaviour does not occur and that any such offenders are dealt with appropriately under the Codes of Conduct or removed from their positions completely.
**** ST GEORGE ASSOCIATION UPDATE - RE LATE MATCH SHEETS ****
The association has imposed a $40 fee for any Match sheets that are NOT submitted before 7.00pm of the day the game is played. All coaches and managers are reminded that these need to be handed in to the canteen before it closes on Saturday, after which a club representative will make sure they are lodged.
If you are unable to hand it in to the Canteen before this time on Saturday, OR your game is played on Sunday, you must personally deliver the match sheet to 174 Rocky Point Road Kogarah, of fax it to 9593 4613.
Please note: the above applies to all teams - non competitive and competitive.
**** SEND OFF CODES AND PROCEDURES FOR RTO's, COACHES, MANAGERS ****
Send off Codes
A full description of behaviour during a game that can lead to a Yellow or Red card is now available for viewing. Click here to download a pdf.
Procedures to be followed
- RTO's MUST collect their ID cards from the referee after the game.
- The ID card of any player sent from the field must be surrendered to the referee after the game.
- The match sheet must be collected by the home team as it is not the responsibility of the referee.
- Match fees should be the correct money as referees do not have change, especially with the odd coins that are now required.
- The above is of particular problem with majority of the AA, some PL and most of the Sunday teams.
**** Coaches "Coaching" Course ****
Those of you that have not as yet undertaken any formal training or certification towards the achievement of the "Junior" level of coaching, that may be interested in enrolling in such a course, could you please send an email to cona@carssparksoccerclub.com.au expressing this interest.
Last year we held a two day course for approximately 18 of our junior coaches. This was run by a qualified instructor, at our home ground over two Saturdays. I have personally completed the course and thoroughly recommend it. The Soccer Club pays for this training but we require a minimum of 16 people in order to have the course undertaken at our premises. Again, those of you interested, please email me.
**** RTO Handbook ****
Every coach and manager is requried to download and read the file listed below as part of their responsibility to their team and as required by the Saint George Soccer Association. It sets out all rules relating to the game of Soccer / football.
